Louis Edward Klingelhoets, age 87, of Waverly, passed away
Dec. 30, 2001, at the Cokato Manor.
Louis was born April 30, 1914, in Woodland Township to
Joe and Ida (Yorken) Klingelhoets. He was baptized and confirmed into St.
Mary’s Church in Waverly.
When Louis was a young boy, he moved with his family to
the present farm place, where he lived until his passing. Louis was a farmer
all his life.
His hobbies were hunting, fishing, telling stories, gardening,
and playing cards. His favorite card game was “euchre.” Louis
spent his last years going part time to the adult day care in Cokato. He
especially enjoyed his time there.
Louis was preceded in death by his parents, infant son,
John, and 11 siblings, sisters, Ann Fitzpatrick, Cecelia Herbst, Margaret
Podany, Agnes Claessens, Marie Quast, Betty Klingelhoets; brothers, Harry,
John, Leroy, Theodore, and Leo.
Louis is survived by his children, Don (Mary), Tony (Gerlene)
and Alice (Ken) Larson, all of Waverly; Elaine (Tom) Robb of Atlanta, Ga.;
Louis Jr. (Teresa) of Coon Rapids; Mark (Gwen) of Long Lake, Alan of Dassel;
ex-wife, Louise of Minneapolis; sisters, Lillian Sieberg of Redmond, Wash.,
and Helen Clasen of Cushing, Minn; 24 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was conducted Saturday, Jan.
5, 2002, 10 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Waverly. The Rev. Frank
Wampach was celebrant of the mass, and music was provided by Mae Wannarka.
Interment was conducted at the St. Mary’s Church Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral
Home, Cokato and Howard Lake.
