Edna A. Mielke
Edna A. Mielke, age 88, of Lowry, Minn., and formerly of
Hamel, Minn., died Friday, May 25, 2001, at Minnewaska District Hospital,
Starbuck.
She was born on Feb. 24, 1913, at Woodland Twp, Wright
County, the daughter of Otto H. and Martha (Lemke) Barlau.
Edna was baptized at St. Mark Lutheran Church, New Germany,
by the Rev. Theodore Rolf March 25, 1913, and confirmed by the same March
15, 1927.
She is survived by children and spouses, Marvin and Bonnie
Mielke of Brandon, Ervin and Sandra Mielke of Alden, Lucy and Bing Doboszenski
of Lowry, Don Mielke and Martha Mielke of Silver Lake; 16 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters and brothers-in-law,
Lorena and Gerhard Henning of New Germany, Lila and Ben Quaas of Mayer;
brother and sister-in-law, Walter and LuVerne Barlau of Sauk Centre; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Martha
Barlau, and brother, Hubert Barlau.
Funeral services for Edna were conducted Tuesday, May 29,
2 p.m., at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Winsted, with the Rev. Gerald L. Boldt
officiating.
Interment was at Winsted Public Cemetery, Winsted.
Casketbearers were grandsons, Brian Doboszenski, Edwin
Doboszenski, Gerald Doboszenski, Jerry Mielke, Alan Mielke, and Brian Mielke.
Arrangements were made by Johnson Funeral Home, Waconia.
