Margaret Estelle Keating
Margaret Estelle Keating, age 87, of Winsted, died Wednesday,
Oct. 23, 2002, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
She was born Aug. 22, 1915, in Osakis the daughter of Lewis
and Angeline Hines Nolan.
Margaret graduated from Osakis High School in 1933, and
later attended Minneapolis Business College.
She was a seamstress for Jantzen, Inc., in Portland, Ore.
for 25 years.
Margaret Togstad and John Keating were joined in holy marriage
March 1, 1986, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Margaret was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic
Church, Winsted. She also belonged to St. Anne’s Society and Council of
Catholic Women.
Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband Rolf
Togstad in 1982, step-son Patrick Keating, her parents, and 11 brothers
and sisters.
She is survived by her husband John M. Keating, two step-children:
Mary Ann Keating and Matthew “Jack”‘ Keating, both of Minneapolis;
step-daughter-in-law Jane (Robert) Bayerl of Winsted, three step-grandchildren:
Joseph and Joshua Keating and Rachel (Patrick) Davidson; two brothers-in-laws,
a sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home Saturday morning,
Oct. 26, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret Keating took place
Saturday, Oct. 26 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Father Paul L. Wolf was the Celebrant for the Mass.
Lavon Kielkucki was the organist for the Mass.
Joe and Josh Keating, Rick and Jack Nolan, Tom Bottleson,
and Terry Collins served as casket bearers.
Interment was at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
