Clifford Joseph Ruzicka, Sr.
Clifford Joseph Ruzicka, Sr., age 87, of Winsted died
Sat., Feb. 15, 2003 at St. Mary’s Care Center.
He was born April 1, 1915 in Winsted Township the son of
Louis and Josephine LaMott Ruzicka.
On June 10, 1935, Clifford Ruzicka Sr. and Leona Millerbernd
were joined in holy marriage at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
God blessed their marriage with four Children.
Mr. and Mrs. Ruzicka engaged in farming for many years.
Cliff and his Brother Ray Ruzicka also formerly owned and operated the Blue
Note Ballroom in Winsted.
He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church
in Winsted, and also belonged to The Knights of Columbus Council #1841 in
Silver Lake, and a former Lions member.
He is survived by his loving wife Leona Ruzicka; four children:
Clifford (Marie) Ruzicka Jr. of Silver Lake, Elizabeth Elaine Griffith of
Rohnert Park, Calif., Carol (Don) Cuhel and Ralph Ruzicka all of Winsted;
10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; a brother: Ray (Billie) Ruzicka
of Winsted; other relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a great grandson
Tyler Cuhel and by a infant brother Louis Ruzicka.
A Mass of Christian burial for Clifford Ruzicka, Sr. took
place at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted Wed., Feb. l9 at 10:30
a.m.
Father Paul L. Wolf was the Celebrant and interment followed
at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Friends called at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted on
Tuesday, Feb. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Knights of Columbus Rosary was recited
at 6 p.m. and a prayer service was conducted at 7 p.m.
Casketbearers were Douglas Ruzicka, Dale Ruzicka, Daniel
Ruzicka, Dean Ruzicka, Mark Cuhel and Lyle Schesso.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted served the family.
