Chad R. Brueggemeier Obituary – 06/01/08


Chad R. Brueggemeier, age 34, of Mayer, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, as the result of an automobile accident.

He was born July 14, 1973, in Waconia to Orville M. and Audrey P. (Dalbec) Brueggemeier. Chad was baptized Aug. 12, 1973, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hollywood Township by the Rev. LeRoy Vogel, and confirmed April 12, 1987, at the same church by the Rev. Steve Vaudt.

Chad was united in marriage to Pamela M. Criego Sept. 28, 2001, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hollywood Twp. by the Rev. Ronald Mathison.

A loving husband, dad, son, and brother, Chad served as a volunteer fireman for the Mayer Fire Department. He enjoyed volleyball, softball, fishing, hunting, and playing cards.

Chad was preceded in death by his father, Orville Brueggemeier; and grandparents Emil and Lydia Brueggemeier, and William and Emma Dalbec.

He is survived by his loving family: wife Pamela; daughters Mackenzie and Madison; mother Audrey Brueggemeier of Winsted; brothers and sister Dean (Cheryl) Brueggemeier of Winsted, Beth (Ted) Robinson of Maple Plain, and Neal Brueggemeier of Annandale; mother-in-law Judie Criego of Delano; father-in-law Richard Criego of Prior Lake; brother-in-law Matt (Shawn) Criego of Prior Lake; sister-in-law Emilie (Jesse) Roush of Buffalo; grandparents Rose and Roger Bugh of Woodbury; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was Wednesday June 4 at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Mayer with the Rev. Adam Gless officiating. Interment was at Zion Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation took place Tuesday, June 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home of Waconia with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., and continued Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Casket bearers were Jesse Roush, Mike Forcier, Greg Lien, Mike Cebulla, Justin Burtzell, Tony Seipp, Marty Silvernail, Ron Baird, and Mark Meuffels.
