Lucille Fleischacker Meyer Obituary – 01/01/09


Lucille Fleischacker Meyer, age 84, of Winsted, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

A Memorial Mass will take place Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with visitation for two hours prior to the Mass.

The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.

Lucille was born June 17, 1924, in Winsted, the daughter of Albert and Celestine Dols Fasching.

She was joined in holy marriage to John Fleischacker May 2, 1942, at The Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis. God blessed their marriage with four children. John preceded Lucille in death July 15, 1984.

Lucille Fleischacker and Warren Meyer were joined in holy marriage Nov. 23, 1990, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.

Lucille, along with her son Alan, co-owned The Pantry Restaurant in Winsted for many years.

She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and its CCW. Lucille also belonged to St. Anne’s Society, Christian Women, Auxiliary of American Legion Post 407 and the Auxiliary of VFW Post 9232.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Warren H. Meyer; children Joan (Francis) Fiecke, Alan (Patty) Fleischacker, Kevin Fleischacker, all of Winsted, and Dean Fleischacker of Elk River; nine grandchildren, Allen Fiecke, Paula Fiecke and Lisa Fiecke Hirsch; David Fleischacker, Heidi Gallus, Jill Wilson, Kelli Fleischacker and Jon Fleischacker; and Troy Fleischacker; nine great-grandchildren, Nicole Fiecke, Michael Fiecke, Kyle Hirsch, Kayla Hirsch, Heath Fiecke, Heather Fiecke, Jared Habisch, Nathan Habisch, and Samuel Gallus; and a great, great-grandchild, Liliana Schurman.

She is further survived by three sisters, Geraldine Mueller, Alberta Fiecke, and Elaine Marshall; six brothers, Melvin, LeRoy, Virgil, Harold, Louis and Marcel Fasching; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her first husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Celestine Fasching; two granddaughers, Traci Fleischacker and Brenda Fiecke; and by a sister, Marion Zdrazil.
