Mildred R. Bisping Obituary – 8/1/2011


Mildred Rosella Bisping, age 91, of Winsted, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.

She was born Mildred Rosella Deidrick April 6, 1920, in Victor Township, Wright County, the daughter of Herman Deidrick and Helena Sophia Loebertmann.

Mildred married Leonard Joseph Bisping Sept. 25, 1940, at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Winsted. To this union was born three children, Rosemary Ann (Gerard) Stifter, Sharon Catherine (Donald) Humlicek, and Gerald Ervin (Carol) Bisping.

Mildred is survived by her children, 11 grandchildren: John (Donna) Stifter, Michael Stifter, Thomas Stifter, Barbara (Robert) Tovsen, Eugene (Sue) Stifter, Dave (Joni) Humlicek, Tony (Nancy) Humlicek, Shelly Humlicek (special friend Brian Nemec), Steven Bisping, James Bisping and Sara (Max) Fasching; and 11 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon, Ashley and Lexi Stifter, Adam Stifter, Kayla (Kevin) Deering, Andrew and Alyssa Tovsen, Kyle Humlicek, Mitchell Johnson, and Leo Fasching; sisters-in-law Rufina Deidrick, Ruth Deidrick, Marie Schmidt and Bea Bisping; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents, Herman and Lena; brothers Roy, Ervin, and Kelly; sisters Evelyn Habisch and Margaret Deidrick; sister-in-law Ann Deidrick; brother-in-law Hank Habisch; her husband’s brothers, Leo and Bert Bisping; and her husband’s brother-in-law, Richard Schmidt; and sister-in-law Bernadine (Bernie) Bisping.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Aug. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Winsted.

Visitation was Wednesday, Aug. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with parish prayers being said at 7 p.m; and continued Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Mildred’s eight grandsons; John, Michael, Thomas, and Eugene Stifter; Dave and Tony Humlicek, and Steven and James Bisping.

The Chilson Funeral Home, Winsted served the family.
