Eileen J. Klammer Obituary – 1/23/2011


Eileen Jane Klammer, age 84, of Montrose, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at the Golden LivingCenter in Delano.

She was born Nov. 28, 1926, in White Bear, to Arthur and Helen (Lundgren) Anderson.

Eileen was known for her good apple pies. She enjoyed preparing family meals, especially turkey dinner on Thanksgiving.

She also crocheted slippers and afghans for family and friends, and enjoyed puzzles, cards, and traveling. An avid mystery reader, Eileen listened to books on tape when her eyesight became poor. When she was younger, she played the piano for the church children’s choir.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Norman; children Dale, Karen (Charles) Stoll, and Mark; grandchildren Shawn Stoll, and Andrea (James) Williams; great-grandchildren Anthony and Duncan; a sister, Lois (Mario) Maritato; a brother-in-law, Wallace (Joann) Klammer; an aunt, Peggy Lundgren; nieces and nephews; and neighbors at Rosehaven apartments in Montrose.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Willard (Carole) Anderson.

The funeral service took place Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Howard Lake, followed by interment at the Howard Lake City Cemetery.

Arrangements were by the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake.
