Charles M. Bixler Obituary – 12/15/2012


Charles “Chuckie” Michael Bixler, age 22, of Lake Geneva, WI, passed away after an automobile accident Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie, with the Rev. David Erbel officiating. Nancy Buckentine will be the organist, and congregational hymns will include “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee,” and “I Know That My Redeemer Lives.” Interment will follow in the Lester Prairie City Cemetery.

Honorary casket bearers are Chase Krueger and Carter Krueger.

Casket bearers will be Chris Vierling, Michael Madison, Steve Dziuk, Phil Melli, Alan Wollenberg, Gary Dziuk, and Travis Houchin.

Charles was born March 30, 1990, in Robbinsdale, the son of Charles and Charlene (Dziuk) Bixler. He was baptized as an infant at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church in Corcoran.

He received his education in Buffalo and St. Louis Park, and graduated from Hononegah Community High School in Rockton, IL.

Charles made his home in St. Louis Park, Montrose, and in Illinois. At the age of 18, when he was on his own, Charles settled in Walworth, WI.

Charles was blessed with the birth of a daughter, Elizabeth, Nov. 2.

He worked at Miniature Precision Components in Walworth, WI as a lead in the injection plastic molding department.

Charles enjoyed skateboarding, plants, fishing, and hanging out with friends. He loved music, especially playing guitar and drums and singing. Charles cherished the time spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Charlene and Leonard Krueger of Lester Prairie; daughter, Elizabeth Bixler of Lake Geneva, WI; brothers, Chase Krueger, and Carter Krueger, both of Lester Prairie; grandparents, Connie Dziuk of Rockford, Rick Piram of Osseo, Diane Armstrong of Detroit, MI, Grandma Otis of Cottage Grove; other relatives; and many friends.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bixler; grandfather LeRoy Bixler; great-grandmother Laura Dziuk; aunt Janet Brauer; and great-great-grandmother Elizabeth Niebolt.
