Rufina T. Deidrick Obituary – 4/27/2012


Rufina T. Deidrick, age 93, of Winsted, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at The Garden House of St. Mary’s.

She was born July 7, 1918, near Lester Prairie, the daughter of Frank and Mary Fasching Bayerl.

Rufina was joined in holy marriage to Ervin A. Deidrick Sept. 23, 1941, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children.

Rufina was a lifelong, faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. She also belonged to CCW and Holy Family Council 204.

Through the years, she made lots of quilts and rugs, enjoyed playing euchre, and was an excellent cook.

Rufina is survived by her loving children: Gary (Linda) Deidrick and Lois (John) Kutz, all of Winsted, and Alan Deidrick of Howard Lake; five grandchildren: Angela (Jake) Hertel, Kyle (Erin) Kutz, Jacob Kutz, Jennifer Deidrick, and Joseph Deidrick; great grandchildren Lucy Hertel and Leo Hertel, William Kutz and Ella Kutz, and Brayden Burkett; sister Lucille Nowak of Silver Lake; sister-in-law Ruth Deidrick of Waverly; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin A. Deidrick July 22, 1982; a daughter, Kathleen Deidrick; two grandchildren, Laura Kutz and Nathan Kutz; her parents,: Frank and Mary Bayerl; three brothers; seven sisters; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, May 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted with Father Tony Hesse as the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

Visitation was Monday, April 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a CCW and Holy Family Rosary recited at 4 p.m., and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continued Tuesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Casket bearers were Roger Maresh, Ken Maresh, Harry Nowak, Steve Nowak, Frank Nowak, and Gerald Bisping.
