Thomas Rathmanner Obituary – 11/18/2012


Thomas “Tom” Ralph Rathmanner, age 58, of Howard Lake, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, with his family by his side.

He was born Feb. 5, 1954, in Glencoe, the son of Ralph and Dorothy (Osmek) Rathmanner.

Tom was united in marriage with Rosie Kadlec June 5, 1982.Their marriage was blessed with a son, Michael.

Tom was an easygoing man who enjoyed watching the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Gophers. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and building campfires; and he loved to make people smile with his great jokes!

He is survived by his wife, Rosie; son Michael (significant other Kristie Eull); mother Dorothy Rathmanner; sister JoAnn White; brother Gary Rathmanner (fiancé Maggie Schuette); brother-in-law Bruce “Buck” Uecker; many Kadlec sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and lots of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Rathmanner; and a sister, Kathy Uecker.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Friday, Nov. 23 at noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Private interment will take place at a later date.

Visitation was Friday, Nov. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at the church.

Casketbearers were Kate Dietel, Elise White, Eric Rathmanner, Sandy Decker, Tim Jensen, Chris Jensen, Matt Donovan, and Denny Johnson.

Honorary casketbearers were Joey Uecker and Tyler Uecker.
