Viola Bebo Obituary – 9/21/2013


Viola Bebo, age 96, of Hutchinson, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at the Hutchinson Hospital.

She was born Aug. 26, 1917, in Beresford, SD, the daughter of Fred and Agnes Hansen Swedlund.

Viola was a homemaker. She enjoyed embroidering dishtowels, and family get-togethers; and she loved to celebrate everyone’s birthdays.

She was a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Viola also belonged to the Sunshine Club.

She is survived by a son, Eugene (special friend Marjorie) Speiser; a daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Bebo; grandchildren Shannon Speiser, Brandon Speiser, Douglas Bebo, Deborah Bentz, and Kimberly Bebo; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Viola was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Speiser and Jerome Bebo; and by two sisters, Elvera Raiber and Leona Gertes.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Thursday, Sept. 26 at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson with Father Gerald S. Meidl as the celebrant. Interment was at the Glencoe Catholic Cemetery in Glencoe.

There was visitation Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at St. Anastasia Catholic Church.

Casket bearers were Shannon Speiser, Brandon Speiser, Victor Schwich, David Bentz, Douglas Bebo, and Justin Bebo.
