Arthur T. Mallak Obituary – 5/30/2014


Arthur Thomas Mallak, Art, age 54 of Lester Prairie passed away Friday, May 30, 2014.

He was born March 17, 1960 to Arthur Sr. and Rose (Fiecke) Mallak in Hutchinson, Minnesota.

Art was a business entrepreneur; he owned and operated Double A Delivery Service, Double A Limousine, and Art and Tom’s Backhoe and Trucking. He at one time ran the family farm as well as being a Realtor for Realty One. Years ago he was employed by Sterner Lighting.

Art served on the Lester Prairie City Council. He was a computer whiz, who could find anything you were looking for on the internet.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, tubing, hunting, and woodworking and was known for his skills in Foosball.

Art of was preceded in death by his daughter Sara; father Arthur Sr.; sister Kathy Boll; and grandparents Ben and Bertha Mallak.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ann; mother Rose Mallak; siblings Thomas Mallak and Cindi; Linda (Kent) Leske; brother-in-law Loren Boll; nieces and nephews Tamara (Matt) Snegosky, Mike Boll, Brandon Leske, Allison Leske; parents-in-law Dennis and Luaine Rolfzen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Julie and John Costello, Loren Rolfzen, Dale Rolfzen; nieces and nephews Johnny Costello, Jessica Costello, Kody Rolfzen, Jazmine Rolfzen, Joshua Dalbec and Catherine Ehrich.

Memorial services were June 5, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Lester Prairie City Hall. Gathering of family and friends took place June 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the services all at the Lester Prairie City Hall.
