Donald L. Arens Obituary – 9/19/2017


Donald L. “Donnie” Arens, age 79, of Delano, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, at the Buffalo Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. Interment will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in Loretto.

There will be visitation Sunday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m., with an 8 p.m. prayer service, at Martha’s Hall of St. Peter Catholic Church in Delano; and continues Monday, 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the Mass.

Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.

Donnie was born Aug. 8, 1938, in Loretto, to Harry and Lillian (Wiesman) Arens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Arens; brother Robert Arens; and brothers-in-law Jack Roehl, Norman Georges, and Charles Ghostly.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Millie; children Chris (Jill) Arens, Carrie (Scott) Hayes, and Tony (Shadow) Arens; 10 grandchildren: Michael Arens, Matthew Arens, Anna Arens, Alli Hayes, Abi Arens, Andrew Hayes, Nicole “CoCo” Arens, Nick Hayes, Ella Arens, and Rilynn Arens; and siblings Marion Roehl, Corrine Georges, Eleanore Ghostley, and Richard (Rosie) Arens.
