Dennis G. Graunke, age 82, of Winsted, formerly of Delano, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at the St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Montrose Community Center. There will be a gathering of family and friends Saturday at the Montrose Community Center from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the services. Inurnment will be in the Watertown Public Cemetery.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Dennis was born Sept. 4, 1935, in Franklin Township, to George and Evelyn (Will) Graunke.
He was a longtime employee of Advance Machine.
A loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Dennis liked to fish, play cards, spend time around the campfire, play bingo, and spend time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Evelyn; and siblings Marlys Winsemann, Glen, Dale, Barb and Judy Graunke.
Dennis is survived by his son, Allen; stepsons Brian (Sheila) Nelson, and Gary Nelson; grandchildren Andrew (Marissa) Graunke, Cole Graunke, Blake Graunke, Julie Nelson, Jennifer Nelson, Troy Nelson and Brenda Nelson; and great-grandchildren Lily, Sophie and Audrey.
Dennis is further survived by siblings Richard (Fran) Graunke, Pat (Larry) Snodgrass, Lois Svoboda, Ronald (Audrey) Graunke, Frank Graunke, Leroy (Blythe) Graunke, Roger (Ginger) Graunke, and Carol (Duane) Poliwoda; special niece Debbie Schmidt; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
