Austin A. Hill, 20

Austin Adrian Hill, age 20, of Buffalo, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 23, 2017, at his home.

Funeral services will take place Friday, July 28 at 11 a.m. at the Rockford Laestadian Lutheran Church, 741 Ibarra Ave NE in Buffalo, with Pastor Jouko Haapsaari officiating. Interment will follow at Lake-view Cemetery in Buffalo.

There was visitation Thursday, July 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at the church. Further visitation will be offered Friday morning at the church, beginning at 10 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Hill, Quentin Hill, Mark Jarvi, Joe Martinez, Daniel Hillukka, Tyler Jones, Joshua Luptak, and Jordan Mattila.

Austin was born Dec. 5, 1996, in Buffalo, to Barrie and Kimberly (Young) Hill.

He grew up in the country with his family, attended Sunday school at the Rockford Laestadian Lutheran Church, and was confirmed at Stony Lake Camp in 2011.

Austin excelled in his school work and graduated from Buffalo High School with honors in 2015. He then attended St. Cloud State University for one year.

An energetic young man with many dreams, Austin was planning to move to Arizona to continue his education at Arizona State University.

He was a diligent worker and was employed by Buck’s Pizza for five years.

Austin was fond of spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, photography, entertaining, and modern technology.

Austin is survived by his loving parents: Barrie and Kimberly (Young) Hill; sisters and brothers: LaRina (Mark) Jarvi, Brianen (Joe) Martinez, Miranda (Daniel) Hillukka, Jonathan (Natalie) Hill, Marketta Hill, Katelynn Hill, Rosa (Tyler) Jones, Quentin Hill, and Tara Hill; 17 nieces and nephews; maternal grandparents Mark and Rebecca (Nordstrom) Young; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harvey and Ethel (Nikula) Hill; and an uncle, John Young.
