Edith Howe, age 85, of Waverly, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Society of Howard Lake.
A memorial service will take place Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the services.
Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
Edith was born Oct. 20, 1932, in Woodland Township, Wright County, to Charles and Sophia (Danek) Brabec.
She was united in marriage to Paul Howe in 1950.
Edith was a homemaker, and helped with the farm work.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, spending time with the grandchildren, and playing cards. She loved her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 56 years, Paul; great-grandson Timothy Warden; her parents; and four siblings.
Edith is survived by her children, Barb Spike, Glenn Howe, and Duane Howe; grandchildren Lucinda Staye, Justin Spike, Cassie Spike, and Elicia Spike; great-grandchildren Melody Carlson, Mason Staye, Emily Staye, Kaylin Carlson, Devon Heaton, and Logan Heaton; and a sister, Lorraine Pearson.
