Marlyce A. Lenzen, 77

Marlyce Ann Lenzen, age 77, of Chaska, formerly of Silver Lake, passed away Friday March 31, 2017, at the Marie Steiner Kelting Hospice House in Chaska.

She was born Feb. 2, 1940, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Schiller) Radoush, on the family farm in rural Silver Lake. Marlyce was baptized and confirmed her faith at the Presbyterian Church in Silver Lake.

She attended Silver Lake Public School.

As a young lady, Marlyce moved to Minneapolis, where she worked in a drug store.

Marlyce was united in marriage with Elroy D. Lenzen. The couple made their home on the Lenzen family farm in Dahlgren Township of Carver County.

Marlyce and Elroy were best friends, and were rarely far from each other or their lovely farm. They enjoyed old time music, traveling in the upper Midwest, and visiting with family and friends. The couple had a great love for the farm and their animals. Marlyce was especially fond of taking care of the dogs.

Marlyce was very proud of keeping a clean and orderly home. Her door was always open, especially to host her nieces and nephews. She had a wonderful relationship with her sister, Rosemary, and considered herself to be her sister’s mentor when they were growing up. In later years, Marlyce enjoyed traveling with Rosemary and spending time together whenever possible.

In recent years, Marlyce really enjoyed getting involved with the activities of Westview Acres in Waconia.

She will be remembered as a beautiful, generous, and shy woman.

Marlyce cherished the time she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elroy Lenzen; parents Joseph and Anna Radoush; sisters and brother-in-law Alice Radoush, and Joan and Doug Grant; and brothers and sister-in-law Robert Radoush, Harold Radoush, and Joseph and Thelma Radoush Jr.

Marlyce is survived by her loving family: brothers and sister, Roger Radoush, Donald Radoush, both of Silver Lake, Wallace Radoush of Gaylord, and Rosemary Radoush of Shakopee; brother-in-law Richard Zanger of Waconia; nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.

The funeral service took place Saturday April 8 at 11 a.m. at the Zoar United Church Of Christ in Chaska, with the Rev. Penny Entringer as officiant. There was visitation at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Interment was in the church cemetery.
