Mirabelle Winter Philippi, age 8 months, of St. Cloud, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017, at the University of MN Children’s Hospital, in the arms of her loving parents.
There will be a gathering of friends and family from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 26 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. A private service will follow.
Mirabelle was born Aug. 16, 2016, in St. Cloud, to Morgan and Melissa (Winter) Philippi, with a rare genetic disorder called Zellweger Syndrome.
Despite her medical challenges, Mirabelle was full of life and personality. She easily connected with all those she came in contact with, and people were drawn to her courageous and feisty personality. Those who loved her were shown how to appreciate life and live every day to its fullest.
Mirabelle was a fun-loving fashionista. She loved baths, swimming, wagon rides, and going hiking in the Quarries. Her parents brought her on many adventures and made sure to laugh and be goofy with her every day. Tummy time and early mornings by the fireplace with mom; and dancing and late nights in front of the computer with dad, will forever be remembered.
Mirabelle is survived by her parents, Morgan and Melissa; grandparents Jack and Margie Winter, Janelle Philippi, and Ron (Cheryl) Philippi; great-grandparents Jerome and Kathleen Nohner, Shirley Dickison, and Theresa Philippi; uncles and aunts, Corey (Chelsey) Winter, Matthew (DC) Philippi, Luke Philippi, Nick (Brittany) Philippi, and Pete (Ashley) Philippi; and cousins, Carter, Collin, and Cienna Winter, and Harrison Philippi.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Alvin and Janell Winter, Verlan Dickison, and Peter Philippi.
Mirabelle defied many odds in her life, and her family treasures every day they were blessed with their little angel.
