Janet Marie Sherman, age 69, of Winsted, passed away suddenly Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Feb. 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
There will be visitation at the church Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Janet was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Winsted, the daughter of Andy and Marie (Scheiber) Fasching.
Janet and Roger G. Sherman were joined in holy marriage Jan. 14, 1967, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with a daughter, Kathy; and a son, Andy.
Janet was formerly employed for many years as a nurse. She currently worked at Trillium Home in Winsted.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted.
Janet loved Elvis, going to the casino, gardening, playing cards, and spoiling her grandsons.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Sherman; a son, Andy (Heather) Sherman; grandsons Nick (Shelly), Dakota, and Jerome; a sister, Betty (Ron) Zachmann; sister-in-law Viola (Marvin) Kieser; brother-in-law David (Judy) Sherman; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Sherman, Oct. 2, 1997; and by her parents.
