Todd A. Shoutz, 51

Todd Allen Shoutz, age 51, of Litchfield, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, in Watkins.

He was born April 28, 1966, in Litchfield, the son of Wayne and Sharon (Lindquist) Shoutz.

Todd graduated from Grove City High School, and then joined the US Army Reserves.

In 2003, he met Sara Sommerfeld, and they were married Oct. 22, 2005, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield.

Todd lived in the Litchfield area, and worked for Palm Industries, for Galen Larson on his hog farm, for Towmaster, and then did masonry work. In 2004, he went to work for Barrier in Watkins.

He was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Litchfield.

Todd enjoyed camping, fishing, kayaking, and wood working. He also was an avid cook, and loved to bake.

Todd loved his family, especially his wife and children.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Shoutz of Litchfield; children Zoe and Cyrus of Litchfield; brothers Scott Shoutz of Grove City, Randy (Jan) Shoutz of Maple Grove, and Jamie (Tricia) Shoutz of Sauk Centre; sisters Kathy (Wayne) Pearson of Hutchinson, Tammy (Dave) Housman of Litchfield, Tina (John) Young of Watkins, Heidi (Jeff) Johnson of Litchfield, Lisa (Matt) Dahl of Paynesville, and Jennifer (Dan) Floren of Dassel; father-in-law Rodney Sommerfeld of Manannah; mother-in-law Sandra Lindquist of Eden Valley; brothers-in-law Wesley Sommerfeld (Teri Walker) of Hutchinson, and Chris Lindquist (Alycia Hansen) of Becker; sister-in-law Jennifer (John) Condon of Watkins; and many nieces and nephews.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Sharon Shoutz; step father-in-law Lynn Lindquist; nephews Kevin Young, and Colten Shoutz; and great-niece Emily Shoutz.

Funeral services took place Thursday, Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Interment was in the Forest City Cemetery.

There was visitation Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield; continuing Thursday at the church, one hour prior to the services.
