Steven C. Weber, 54

Steven Charles Weber, age 54, of Silver Lake, passed away Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at his residence.

He was born April 29, 1963, in Glencoe, the son of Charles D. and Rosemary (Bayerl) Weber.

Steven was joined in holy marriage with Janelle M. Mallak Nov. 10, 1990, at St. Adalbert’s Catholic Church in Silver Lake. God blessed their marriage with four children.

Steve was employed at Millerbernd’s for the past nine years. He also had a longtime lawn care business. He was always willing to help others with his time and talents.

Steve was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Janelle M. Weber; loving children: Spenser, Shantel and Savanna; his mother, Rosemary Weber; siblings Kathleen (Derek) LaZarre, Todd (Tina) Weber, Michael (Candi) Weber, Brenda (Pat) Fogarty, Gene (Debbie) Weber, Carrie Weber, Bradley Weber (Ryan), and Kelly (Steve) Sale; father-in-law Joe Mallak of Winsted; sisters-in-law Julene (Jay) Borka of Winsted, and Janette (Tom) Bayerl of Silver Lake; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Severin, Feb. 24, 2003; his father, Charles Weber, April 28, 2016; and by his mother-in-law, Constance Mallak, June 22, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Silver Lake, with Father Paul Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment followed at Holy Family Cemetery.

There was visitation Tuesday, Dec. 19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Maresh Funeral Home in Silver Lake, with a rosary at 5 p.m., and parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation continued Tuesday at the funeral home, one hour prior to the services.

Honorary casket bearers were Steve’s sons and his brothers, Spenser Weber and Severin Weber, Todd Weber, Mike Weber, Gene Weber, and Brad Weber.

Casket bearers were John Bayerl, Carey Kieser, John Entinger, Pat Fogarty, Sam Anderson, and Jason Kalis.
