Alphonse Fiecke, 92

Alphonse Fiecke, age 92, of rural Winsted, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

He was born Jan. 9, 1926, in Hollywood Township, Carver County, the son of Joseph and Anna (Kieser) Fiecke.

Alphonse was joined in holy marriage with Rose Heigl May 9, 1953, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Alphonse and Rose engaged in dairy farming for many years south of Winsted.

A faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Alphonse also belonged to the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Order of Foresters.

He is survived by his loving children: Marie (Mike) Cummings of Winsted, Paul (Veronica) Fiecke of Norwood/Young America, John (Jenny) Fiecke of Toledo, WA, Mark (Cindy) Fiecke of Winsted, and Jane (Dane) Dye of Hopkins; grandchildren Chris Cummings and Alecia Cummings; Shannon, Dustin, Timothy and Andrew Fiecke; Toni Fiecke; Kelly Land, Benjamin and Mitchel Fiecke; Tiffany (Matthew) Sower and Amanda Aguilar; and Drusilla and Meleah Dye; great-grandchildren Alina; Logan, Mason, and Waylon; Brielle and Liviya; Hannah, Michael, and Meghan; and Andrew; a brother, Francis Fiecke; and other relatives and friends.

Alphonse was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Fiecke April 21, 2012; an infant child; his parents; and siblings Leona Lewandowski, Loretta Thiesen, Clemens Fiecke, Eugene Fiecke, Joseph Fiecke, Ben Fiecke, Mary Rohling, Henry Fiecke, and Agnes Horstmann.

Mass of Christian Burial took place Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Michael Doyle as the celebrant. There was private interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

A visitation took place Monday, Sept. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary recited at 7 p.m., and parish prayers at 7:15 p.m. Visitation continued Tuesday at the church, one hour prior to Mass.

Casket bearers were Timothy Fiecke, Dustin Fiecke, Andrew Aguilar, Brandon Fiecke, Chris Cummings, and Matthew Sower.
