Francis Harold Fiecke, age 81, of Winsted, passed away Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Nov. 2 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. Interment with military rites will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Friday at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
Grandsons Michael Fiecke, Kyle Hirsch, Heath Fiecke, Jared Habisch, and Nathan Habisch will be honorary pall-bearers.
Granddaughters Nicole Hendrickson, Kayla Swedberg and Heather Fiecke will present the Gifts.
The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted is serving the family.
Francis was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Hollywood Township, Carver County, the son of Joseph and Anna (Kieser) Fiecke.
He was joined in holy marriage with Joan Fleischacker Dec. 2, 1961, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. God blessed their marriage with four children.
Francis spent three years in the military, stationed in Alaska.
He was employed at Advance Machine for five years, and retired from Sterner Lighting after 31 years of employment.
Francis is survived by his loving wife, Joan; children Allen Fiecke, Paula Fiecke and Lisa (Marty) Hirsch; grandchildren Nicole (Sean) Hendrickson, Michael Fiecke, Kyle (JoAnn) Hirsch, Heath (Tiffany) Fiecke, Kayla Swedberg, Jared Habisch, Nathan Habisch and Heather Fiecke; great-grandchildren Lili Schurmann, Isaac Hirsch, Odyn Swedberg, Allie Hendrickson and Avary Hendrickson; sisters-in-law Agnes and Leona Fiecke; and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Anna Fiecke; a daughter Brenda; a great-grandson Logan; sisters Leona Lewandowski, Loretta Thiesen, Mary Rohling, and Agnes Horstman; and brothers Clemens, Eugene, Joseph, Ben, Alphonse, and Henry Fiecke.
