Marian Marcella Frank, age 89, of Howard Lake, and formerly Silver Lake, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Her funeral service will take place Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake, followed by interment in the Howard Lake City Cemetery.
There will be visitation Friday, May 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Howard Lake. There will not be a prayer service.
Visitation will continue Saturday, one hour prior to the service.
Marian was born Sept. 15, 1928, in Hutchinson Township, to Ben and Emily (Jerabek) Klima. She was baptized Dec. 12, 1928, and confirmed June 11, 1944, at the First Congregational Church in Silver Lake.
Marian graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1946. She was a teacher in a one-room school house.
She was united in marriage to Melvin Frank July 21, 1951, at the First Congregational Church in Silver Lake. This union of 56 years was blessed with two children, Marlene and Milan. The family made their home on a farm near Howard Lake, and later moved into town.
Marian loved her Lord God, church, and family. She enjoyed teaching, gardening, and making her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Marlene; and brother, David.
Marian is survived by her son, Milan; a sister, Dorothy Gunderson; and brother, Benjamin Klima.
