Donald John Holm, age 83, of Cokato, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018.
A memorial service will take place Friday, July 27 at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato.
There was visitation Thursday, July 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Swanson-Peterson Funeral Home in Cokato; continuing Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service.

Donald was born July 23, 1934, on a very hot day, on the kitchen table of the Stockholm township farm of Elin and Arthur Holm.
He graduated from Cokato High School, and attended the University of Minnesota Agriculture School in St. Paul.
Donald entered the US Army Jan. 20, 1954; and served in Germany in Battery C 45th AA Bn as a heavy artillery fire control crewman (radar operator).
A member of the VFW, he had also served as post commander of the local American Legion.
Donald farmed in Stockholm Township, and was elected to the Soil Conservation board in the 1970s.
He married Jeanette Hafften of Buffalo Nov. 18, 1961.
Taking home movies was a passion Donald had, and a lasting gift to his family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children Mark (Susie), Bradley (Beth), Julie (John Newstrom), and Karen (Lance Vargason); and grandchildren Cassidy and Derek Holm, Samantha and Jack Newstrom, and Taylor and Carli Vargason.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
