Clare Francis Johnson, “Slippery,” age 64, of Winsted, formerly of Watertown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, after a brief courageous battle with Leukemia.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Watertown. A gathering of family and friends will take place Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and continue Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. all in the church. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery.
Clare was born Aug. 12, 1954 to Warner and Grace (Kuka) Johnson in Watertown.
Clare was a proud loving father and friend to many. He loved softball, bowling and racing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner and Grace Johnson.
He is survived by his daughters, Jaime and Nicole; brother, Jack (Helen) Johnson; niece, Stacy (Ted) Reilly; nephew, Johnny (Kellie) Johnson; mother of his daughters, Pam Johnson, and her parents, Dave and Pauline Lundgren; best friend and golfing buddy Kenny (Mary) Johnson.
