Dorraine Mueller, 85

Dorraine Louise (Ketcher) Mueller, age 85, of Watertown, entered into eternal life with her Heavenly Father Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the Auburn Manor in Chaska.

She was born Aug. 29, 1932, in Watertown, the daughter of the late Walter and Carrie Ketcher. Dorraine was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter’s Church of Watertown Township. She attended Watertown Public School and graduated from Watertown High School.

Dorraine married the love of her life, Willard (Bill) Mueller in August 1953, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown by the Rev. John Spomer; they were married 43 years.

They lived in Watertown, where they met many friends and enjoyed traveling, fishing, and various church activities. Dorraine and Bill enjoyed fishing and camping with their family.

Dorraine worked at Wayzata Country Club, Lord Fletcher’s, and Bear Cafe.

She showed her love of family by cooking and baking, adding her special touch to each dish. She liked playing bridge and was fond of gardening.

A faithful member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Dorraine was active in the choir, Lutheran Women’s Mission Guild, quilting for missions, and the altar guild.

Dorraine is survived by her children, Debra (Paul) Bennyhoff, Arthur (Dawn) Mueller, Richard (Karen) Mueller, and Robert Mueller; grandchildren Brent Mueller, Joel Mueller (Shonte Perse), Michelle Buyatt, and Kristy (Sean) O’Bryan; and a great-grandchild, Oliva.

She is further survived by brothers and sisters-in law Harold and Phyllis Ketcher, Doris Ketcher, Robert and Jan Ketcher, and Kenneth and Mary Lou Ketcher; sister and brother-in-law Delores and Doug Lenz; sister-in-law Pat Mueller; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Merlyn and Millie Mueller; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Dorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; son John; her parents, Walter and Carrie Ketcher; brothers Roy Ketcher and Bill Ketcher; mother-in-law and father-in-law Arthur and Emma Mueller; numerous brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service took place Tuesday, Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown with the Rev. Paul Krentz officiating. Interment was in Watertown Public Cemetery.

There was a gathering of family and friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.

Memorials may be made in Dorraine’s name to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Watertown.
