The Lord called Aune Nordlund home Thursday, June 21, 2018.
She was born July 17, 1922, in Cokato, to John and Bertha Posio. Aune was baptized and confirmed at the Finnish Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Aune attended Temperance Corner School, and graduated from Cokato High School in 1940.
She worked in Minneapolis at Jordan Electric, and later, at McClintocks. She also worked for awhile in California, for the telephone company.
Aune was united in marriage to Maurice Nordlund Jan. 8, 1949, by the Rev. J.O. Blaness. She was blessed with two children, Mary and Gary.
Aune spent the rest of her life as a loving farm wife and homemaker, helping on the farm. She also worked the seasonal corn pack at Green Giant.
Aune was a member of the Cokato American Legion Auxiliary for 68 years; and a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cokato.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bertha; two brothers, Delmar and Eino; a sister, Hazel, and her husband, Maurice.
Aune is survived by her son, Gary of Cokato; daughter, Mary (Steve) of Chattaroy, WA; granddaughter Cara (Ryan) of Monroe, WA; and great-grandchildren Kate and Emma.
