Marietta Specken, 65

Marietta Rose Specken, age 65, of Winsted, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, surrounded by her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Winsted.

There will be visitation at the church Sunday, Aug. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, one hour prior to the Mass.

Marietta was born Dec. 13, 1952, in Cokato, the daughter of Gerald Cochran and RoseAnn (Broll).

She was raised in Waverly.

Marietta worked various jobs, including being a stay-at-home mom, before becoming a housekeeper for a very loving family for 30 years.

Marietta and Michael R. Specken were joined in holy marriage Oct. 28, 1968. God blessed their marriage with five children.

Marietta was an usher at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for many years, and she attended Winstock every year. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, tending to her flowers outside, taking mini vacations with family and friends, socializing, and any time spent with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Specken; twin daughter, Tonya; mother, RoseAnn (Joseph) Loebertmann; father, Gerald (Betty) Cochran; brothers, Lester “Buddy” Cochran, and Kevin Cochran; parents-in-law, Raymond and Mary Specken; and godchild, Nate Westrup.

Marietta is survived by her children, Michael (Lynn) Specken of Waconia, Thomas Specken of Winsted, Tammy Specken (Chuck Nichols) of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Mindy (Brad Radtke) of Winsted; grandchildren, Bess, Beau, Brooks and Bennett Specken, Caleb and Marissa Radtke, and Charlie Nichols; sisters, Annette (Gary) Norman, and Dolly (Guy) Hedtke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
