Charles R. “Chuck” Bergin, age 88, of Montrose, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at the Estates of Delano.
Memorial services will take place Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. at the Iten Funeral Chapel in Delano. Inurnment will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Grantsburg, WI at a later date.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the services.

Charles was born July 29, 1930, in Grantsburg, WI, to John and Isabelle (Anderson) Bergin.
He served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged.
Charles married Joan Miller Feb. 12, 1955.
Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sprint car racing, and gambling.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joan; daughter Susan Rath; grandsons Jeremy Bergin and Travis Troska; and siblings Jerry Bergin, Jack Bergin, Gary Bergin, Sr., and Audry Marth.
Charles is survived by his children, Debra Korthals and special friend Dennis Johnson, Keith Bergin, Kathy (Dan) Veaderko, and Melissa Bergin and special friend Dave Cabianca; grandchildren Carry Bergin, Sabrina Highfield, Keith Bergin Jr., Jessica Sanders, Christina Bentfield, Heather (Tony) Fuller, Crystal Veaderko, Justin (Meghan) Bergin, and Azure Tyler; many great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Marilyn Bergin, Gordon Marth, Sr. and Pat Lauseng; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
