Terry Ewert was born Nov. 29, 1952, in Waseca, to Leonard and Helen (Kleinow) Ewert. He grew up on the family farm near Janesville, and graduated from the Southern School of Agriculture in Waseca in 1970. He proudly served in the Minnesota Army National Guard from 1970-1976 as SP4 with honorable discharge.

Terry was united in marriage to Donna Krenke Feb. 15, 1975. Together, they raised five children.

After relocating from the family farm in the 1970s, Terry worked as a truck driver for various employers before retiring from Randy’s Sanitation of Delano after 23 years of service.

He was a faithful member of Divine Love Christian Fellowship of Champlin, and served as a loyal deacon and trustee for many years.

He enjoyed working with animals and being surrounded by nature. He found joy in watching the many varieties of birds that came to his feeders. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. But most of all he enjoyed time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Terry is survived by his wife of 44 years: Donna of Delano; children: Amy Ewert of St. Michael; Jared Ewert and Teri Schneider with children Jaxon and Aubrey of Waverly; Alane Ewert of Waverly; Angela Ewert and Monty Olson with children Nathen and Jace of Delano; and Andrea and Nick Helmer with children Savannah, Ella, and Otto of Delano; two siblings: Pam (Ron) Morris of Bloomington, and Dennis (Nancy) Ewert of Janesville; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
