Wayne ‘Tim’ Goodell, 54

Wayne “Tim” Timothy Goodell, age 54, of Lester Prairie, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at his home in Lester Prairie.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. at Glencoe Regional Hospital, Conference Room A in Glencoe.

The family is requesting no floral arrangements.

Wayne was born Oct. 15, 1964, in Duluth, the son of Wayne K. and Patricia (Arkulary) Goodell. He was baptized as an infant in November 1964, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Gnesen, MN; and confirmed in his faith as a youth in May 1980, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Duluth.

Tim received his education at Duluth Cathedral High School, and also attended Minnesota School of Business.

He entered active military service in the United States Navy Oct. 5, 1988, and served his country during peace time as a submarine nuclear propulsion plant operator and engineering lab technician. He received a Navy arctic service ribbon and a sea service deployment ribbon. Tim was discharged May 1, 1992.

Tim made his home in Duluth, New Brighton, and Lester Prairie. He enjoyed seeing his family, nieces and nephews, watching movies, and collecting military memorabilia.

He is survived by his parents, Wayne and Patricia Goodell of Lester Prairie; siblings, Susan Ostlund of Minneapolis, Laura Bickel and her husband, Steve, of Westminster, CO, Michael Goodell and his wife, Sandy, of Coon Rapids, and Tricia Pettey of Lester Prairie; nieces and nephews, Steve, Erin, Ben, Sawyer, Nathan, Emali, Joe, Caleb, Jessica, Aria, Ava, and Stone; and other relatives and friends.
