Brenda Munsinger Obituary – 8/31/2019


Brenda Sue Munsinger, age 60, of Dassel, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, Sept. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel, with the Rev. Keith Carlson officiating. There will be a one-hour time to gather with the family prior to the service at the funeral home.

The Johnson Funeral Home in Dassel is handling the memorial service arrangements.

Brenda was born June 1, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of Mel and Patricia (McGlaughlin) Pastion. She grew up in Indianapolis until her family moved to Anaheim, CA, where she attended school and graduated from Magnolia High School in 1977.

Brenda was united in marriage to David Munsinger Dec. 30, 1980, at Bellflower, CA, and they have celebrated 38 years of marriage. They made their home in California before moving to Minnesota, where they made their home in the Dassel area.

Brenda loved to collect Native American textiles and artwork. She enjoyed traveling, and especially enjoyed spending time in the Caribbean.

She spent many days at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival, and could often be found enjoying a day with her friends and family.

Brenda is survived by her husband, David Munsinger of Dassel; children, Steven Munsinger of Dassel, Andrew Munsinger of Redwood Falls, and Joseph (Brooke) Munsinger of Brooklyn Center; one grandchild, Isis Munsinger; and siblings, Debbie, Mel Pastion, and Gary Pastion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mel and Patricia Pastion; and sisters-in-law Maria Pastion and Sherry LaRock.
