Jonathan Paul Oltman, age 28, of Big Lake, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019.
He was born June 27, 1990, in Robbinsdale, and graduated with St. Michael Albertville High School class of 2008.
Jon joined the United States Marine Corps May 6, 2013.
He had currently worked at J&B Group in St. Michael for eight years. Being a hard worker and loved by everyone there, he was very influential with the crew he worked with.
Jonathan was united in marriage with Melissa Dziuk Jan. 31, 2019.
Jon enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, cooking, video games, doing anything outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. He was often known as the “meat guy” at gatherings with his friends.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Melissa Oltman; mother, Mary (Michael) Meisenholder; father, Glenn Oltman; brothers, David (Tanya) Oltman, and Dylan McCann; grandparents, Lindsay and Margaret Wallace; beloved dog, Stella; parents-in-law, Steve and Sherri Dziuk; brother-in-law, Nathan (Kristine) Dziuk; and numerous family and friends.
Funeral services took place Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Edward’s Episcopal Church in Wayzata.
There was visitation Sunday, March 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Peterson Chapel in St. Michael-Albertville.
