Leonard ‘Dewey’ Reilein Obituary – 12/23/2019


Leonard “Dewey” George Reilein, age 80, of Winsted, passed away Monday, Dec. 23, 2019, at St. Mary’s Care Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted. Father Tony Stubeda will be the celebrant.

Interment will be at 3 p.m. at St. Raphael’s Cemetery in Springfield.

There will be visitation at the church, one hour prior to Mass.

Casket bearers will be Knights of Columbus members.

Leonard was born April 22, 1939, in Hutchinson, the son of Arthur E. and Thressa (Borth) Reilein.

He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

Leonard was joined in marriage with Charlene M. Fiedler Nov. 11, 1967, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn.

Dewey was a longtime employee of Munson Feed in Howard Lake.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted; as well as Knights of Columbus Council 8253, and American Legion Post 407, both in Winsted.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Leone Rusch; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Dewey was preceded in death by his loving wife, Charlene June 2, 2002; his parents; a sister, Lorraine (Ray) Gorden; and brothers Arthur (Alice), William (Bette), Clarence, Lloyd, and Ray Reilein.
