Virginia Ringwald, age 94, of rural Delano, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019.
She was born Nov. 22, 1924, in Ridge Township, OH, to David Pryse and Nora (Stiverson) Johnson.
Virginia was born and raised in Ohio.
She and her husband, John, also raised five children in Ohio, and were farmers.
John and Virginia moved to Rockford Township in Minnesota in 1974, and made their home near Delano.
Virginia loved spending time in the outdoors; going camping and fishing were lifelong passions. She was known for knitting and making family blankets that are now cherished family heirlooms.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; children Tena McDaniel and James Ringwald; and two brothers, Benjamin, and James Robert Johnson.
Virginia is survived by her children, Gloria (Larry) Schwartz, Rebecca Rase, of Spencerville, OH, and Kathryn (James) Adams, of Delano; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Jean Ringwald.
Funeral services took place Tuesday, June 18 at 11 a.m. at the Iten Funeral Home in Delano, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home, prior to the services.
Arrangements were with the Iten Funeral Home in Delano.
