Bruce Pease, 71

Bruce D. Pease, age 71, of Waconia, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022 at Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Graveside memorial service will take place Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022 at 4 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lester Prairie with Rev. Eric Nelson as officiant.

Bruce Dunbar Pease was born June 20, 1951 in El Monte, CA, the son of Winston and Bobby Jean (Baebler) Pease.

After high school, Bruce began a successful, nearly 50-year, career in the automobile wholesale business.

He was united in marriage with Judith Emich on Aug. 18, 1984.

Bruce enjoyed cooking and many believed that he should have been a gourmet chef.  He was also very artistic and had an appreciation of good design. Bruce enjoyed the outdoors, especially spending time on the water fishing.

Most of all, Bruce cherished his marriage to his wonderful Judy for nearly 38 years.

The couple moved to Minnesota to be closer to family and while Bruce missed his California roots, he adjusted to the Minnesota climate,  and quickly made new friends in Waconia.

Bruce is preceded in death by his parents Winston and Bobby Jean Pease; brother Bradley Pease; and mother-in-law Ethel Emich.

Bruce is survived by his loving family: wife Judy Pease of Waconia, MN; son Damon Pease of Los Angeles, CA; sister Karen Kleist and husband Fred of Laguna Hills, CA; sister-in-law Cheryl Klemp and fiancé David Gutzmann of Lester Prairie, MN; nephews Brian Kleist and wife Gwen, Erik Kleist; nieces Christine Klemp, Julie Klemp-Wischnack and husband Ronald Jr. “Gus;” many great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia. www.johnsonfh.com 952-442-2121
